Hello my name is Jim Wooley and I am from Levittown,PA.I use this site every night and it feela as though I know you guys. Thanks for all the posts and finds. P.S. Cody are you out there! I have the EX 2 and I am finding deep coins in silver and for some reason I am not able to pick up gold. I need a program of some kind of HELP!!! Thank You: Jim Wooley HH

Jim first off know this. The ratio of silver to gold jewelry is like 100 to 1 and silver to gold coin here in the east is probably 5000 to 1 assuming you are land hunting. Also know that the weight of gold coins is much more than silver coins so that elusive gold coin has sunk maybe deeper than even the trusty Explorer can reach. With that being said I still believe I will someday dig a gold coin. My approach is simple. I have tested all U.S.denominations and many pieces of gold jewelry on both smartscreen and digital and made a mental note of where they fall. I dig alot of pulltabs and such just hoping that maybe this one will be it. No gold coin yet but I have dug several pieces of gold jewelry that landed around indian head. All denominations of gold coins fall in a different place in smartscreen and digital. My best advice is to hunt in iron mask with a fairly opened up screen and dig those signals that maybe you wouldnt normally dig. Good luck!
