My AT Pro just went haywire! I heard a sweet signal, dug a silver quarter, smiled, stood up and realized the Pro was completely bonkers. The target ID was bouncing super fast from the 40's to the 80's and chirping like crazy. I reset the machine several times, played with the sensitivity, it only stops when the sens is down to basically nothing.
My wife took our little girl to the cabin for the weekend, and told me to detect until I drop! What a great father's day present lol. I've been having a blast so far, but now I'm worried that my Pro is fried.

Has anybody else had this problem?!?!

Strange...I set the Pro in front of the air conditioner for a few minutes and now it seems to work fine again. Maybe the heat caused a malfunction? It's hot out...but not THAT hot...

[size=large]next time pat the machine first then smile. maybe it too offence at not being thanked. got hot under the hood.

I had a similar situation earlier in the week. It worked great for a while, then went completely bonkers. I checked my batteries, and realised that one of them was reverse polarity. Once I corrected that, it ran fine again.

Happened to me once for about ten mins took batteries out put them back and never had problem again. Been water hunting but haven't dunked it yet. Happy hunting!

My batteries were fine...I think the heat did it. Anyway, disaster averted--I made it back to where I was hunting just in time to find one bent 1973 penny before I had to get home.
