I am currently own another brand of detector but I find I am constantly playing with the settings to get it to find anything more than a 4-5" inches deep. My main hunting is old city parks with a lot of trash. What would you guys recommend? I was thinking about the Coin Strike or the CZ 3D.

Will get you depth, but the CZ3D will be easier to learn, and simpler to use, but on the CS, soon as you learn it it would be your choice of machine, probably the 3D would be the best way for you to go :?

Art, I am in St. Louis also. My buddy has the 3d and I just got the cz70. He likes his and so far I like mine. With either machine you talk of you are going to dig trash if you are doing city parks, comes w/ the territory. So do not get frustrated. Good luck.

Art, Jeff, I'm not in St. Louis but I was born and raised there. I have the Coin$trike, not getting the hang of it, so I'm getting the CZ70 next week. (Used the CZ7A for years and loved it, thought the Coin$trike would be even better, but not for me.)

Coinstrike has a learning period and many do well with them( once learned to a point) CZ's on the other hand are basically a turn on and go..just might consider a CZ70 as it has a superior notching system..Go to a Fisher dealer and check them out( sort of a hands on approach).. :D
Unfortunately ground is loaded with junk so be prepared to dig some to get goodies..

If the parks are trashy a CZ70 might be better than a 3D. The 3D might register an unacceptable amount of trash as high coin if it's not a really old park. I like my 3D but at the end of the day it's still a CZ. The C$ has a bit of a learning curve, I use mine for older sites. Both the 3D and C$ are somewhat specialized IMO. If you're looking for a main machine in the Fisher lineup the 70 is my pick.

for all your input. Now all I hafta do is decide which one. I'd buy one of each but divorce lawyers cost too much
