I've just gotten my explorer xs and need help with settings. Anyone care to share their knowledge with a newbie? Appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance. Dick

I'd stick to the factory settings for a few weeks, man. They work pretty good and will give you sometime to get use to the Explorer for awhile.
For now, I'd just work on having some success and practice the basics such as pinpointing. Remember, she'll do you right if you work slowly in trashier areas. Pay close attention to the audio as it is more on the money than the display.

I would get Andy Sabischs book. Mean while I think just sticking to the factory setting to get your true north with this unit would be enough for you to handel. Just my opinon <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
I have had my unit going on two years now and I'm just now trying to break down the programing operation. The factory programiong worked so dam well I sort of got lost in that alone.
