HELP x-terra 705

fg121798

New member
Just bought a 705 from a member and it looks in beautiful shape.
There is a screw in the handle that is missing that secures the module to the shaft.
I think it grounds it also because when I turn it in it goes crazy.
Constantly flashes numbers 2 to 44 and all kinds of tones.
Anyone know what size screw this is.
thanks
David

That screw is for securing the unit to the handle, not for grounding it. I've had the x-terra for 3 1/2 years and I've never put that screw in.

As far as the number jumping all over the place I would say it's because of electrical interference if you turned it on in the house. Go outside and try it and if it still does it then change the Noise Cancel channel and see if that helps.

I was outside and just did a factory preset.
Everything is fine now.
Thanks anyway.
turned it off and then held the menu select button in and hit the power button and FP appeared and now it is great.

I also have not put my screw in. I would go to the of this page and go to FAQ FAQ and any questions you have or problems have already been address there.
