I am considering a Tesoro Tiger shark, Fisher 1280 and Fisher cz20. I will be doing fresh water hunting, what is your opion on these machines?
Thank you in advance.
Jeff

Tiger Shark great on small gold and has great iron descrimination. Plus the best warranty/service going. HH

The CZ-20 may be overkill if fresh water hunting is what you will mostly be doing....I have a Fisher 1280 and it does the job....but so would the Tiger Shark - the choice is yours - you can't go wrong with either machine....try to visit a dealer and check them out in person to see what feels best in your hands.

Depth wise I would give the nod to the 1280 (compared to the Tesoro) but from what I I have read, the Tesoro may be better at finding the smaller gold chains.

...unless there happens to be a very very small (1/4")charm strung on it.
I had both TS & 1280X and it's a toss up as to which is better. You'll probably like Fishers tone better tho.

The Tigershark is a great unit and you also need to look at the warranty of the machine you decide on. Tesoro is one of the few that offer a LIFETIME warranty and has great customer service. When I first bought mone it had a bad coil I contacted Tesoro and they were great. I took the unit back to wheree I bought it and they put a new coil on it for me no problems since. The Tigershark also get GREAT depth over most of the other units. Hope this helps you and happy hunting
