I went to the beach today and found about $1.00 in change and an odd foreign coin. After further research on the internet I have identified it as a 1942 Japan 100 yen nickel. Does anyone know what it may be worth? It has a small hole in it as if it was worn as a charm on a necklace; otherwise it is in pretty good shape. I tried to upload pic's but kept getting error message. Sorry

I took the coin to several coin dealer just to find out it is an authentic 1942 Japan 100 yen nickel and it is worth zero, zilch, squat, nata  The coin dealers did let me know that that currency was only circulated between 1926 - 1949 and gave me a little history lesson with it. They said it may also have held some sentimental value to someone since it was worn like a charm, not to mention we were at war with Japan at the time. I have to remind myself and appreciate the history behind coins / relics found instead of just looking for a profit.
