I believe the coin is a mangled penny (memorial). the wording looks like "one cent" just ne ce. Somebody
or some thing really did a number on it! Not sure about the other piece. Could be drawer pull or more likely
a pin on broach of some kind. I'm sure others will chime in here! Don't get discouraged about the coin, in my
opinion it could have turned out to be something spectacular!

The first pic is an ornate piece of old furniture and the second, well I have to agree with Okierebel, it also looks to me like an mangled coin. Hope this helps, nice finds and thanks for sharing.... "D"

I agree with Oki on the penny..could be more than one penny melted together... the ornamental piece is really ,I see a nose and mustache on it...
