Help with ID's

Hello everybody. My name is Mike and I'm relatively new to Md'ing. I really enjoy looking at all of the posts and absorbing all of the great information you guys have.
I got my 3030 yesterday and I've already put about 2 hours on it. I've got an excal ii but never had an etrac or explorer, so the 3030 is a lot of machine to take in. Since I don't know the "nuances" of this machine yet, I obviously am digging everything. My question is: does someone have a "general" list of where targets should ID? I have seen the other list (I don't remember who posted it) but it shows a lot of relics. Down here in Florida, I mainly do beach hunting, but still hit the parks too. Just curious, thanks to all of the responses that are sure to come. HH.

Here are some E-Trac TIDs that were posted by Jim upstate NY. I'm hearing that the CTX is registering the same TID numbers as the E-Trac.

Thanks pspr, I saw those and those were very helpful. You know the funny thing, I was out at a very old park this morning and kept hitting 1.40 (in that range). I looked at that post and saw that that ID's at possibly a Morgan. I hit that ID probably 7 times in different areas. I thought it was a glitch or falseing. I hope it was the real thing. I think I will have to go back real soon and check it out again. Unfortanetly, I didn't have GPS on but I remember the general area. What an idiot I am...lol

LOL Let us know if they turn out to be morgans when you get back there. If TID's are accurate I guess all you have to do is learn the numbers.

I've been using an Explorer XS (My CTX arrives Monday) and there are no target ID's on the XS, just the screen an curser. It drove me nuts this morning in a trashy park. About all I dug up were aluminum cans. No silver.
