I was at may parents house and found this button. Does anybody know how old it is? My parents house was built in the 1880's and is in their towns historical society. It was down about 7 or 8 inches by a big maple tree in the back yard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it is unusual, probably a common coat button from years ago.I have one identical to it.The back is too rusted for any mfg. id.
