I thought it was a slog from a .38 at first, but it does not appear to be lead, and has a rosette pattern(?) with gems at the end. One still remains you can see it if you look very closely at the top. Any ideas?
 
Hi Camman... looks like a steel Pull chain knob for a lamp, or the actual twist knob for the top of a lamp shade. Just my opinion.
