help with fisher goldbug pro(in all metal mode)

I have noticed when checking targets the machine is close but all metal mode has an edge.

The all metal mode on the GoldBug is deeper then the disc mode. The difference may be less or more in ground depending on your minerals.
It is the same sound as you say but it has small differences in the way it responds to different metals and depth. Great for sizing for example.
It also has ID capability in the all metal mode, but only on the speedometer bar not the two big figures that you have in Disc mode.
