Help with fe3o4 meter on f75 pls

Can anyone explain how this meter works on my f75 please, should it move around when detecting normally, just i have never noticed it move before so i did a test in the garden just now,as garden are usually full of minerisation,in normal sweeps it doesnt register anything, but if i pump the coil it registers one bar and sometimes two bars,it sometime takes a while to go down to zero again.
Is this correct?
Oh all in discrim mode..sens 60 discrim 3 notch 1

Thanks Gaz :)

The FE304 meter may move around while sweeping the coil. It is only accurate when the coil is pumped over the ground.

Remember that the FE304 meter will also measure conductivity when minerals are not present. So if you pump it over a metal target it will either be reading it's conductive or it's magnetic properties. To use it properly and to get an accurate reading you must pump the coil over clean, target free ground.
