Help with coin

Brandy[Ma.]

New member
Popped this coin from a tavern site in the spring.I can't find any thing like it.It's the size of a half dime.Any guesses?

You and others on the forum have given me hope of finding really old coins here in New England and NY. My oldest is a 1793 East India token. Seeing coins like this one lets me know there are real old ones hiding in the dirt. I have seen pics of Roman coins with the same type of "dots" on them before so it may be from that era!

.... post them on the UK Detectornet "finds forum" and ask for some help with ID. Make sure to put in a ruler size reference in the photos. Neat find.

Most celtic coins were a little more sophisticated, the makers of the early cobs were made by natives under spanish supervision and were more concerned with weight over quality.

Like i said, it is just a wild azzed guess so treat this post with that in mind.
