HELP with atpro inter

noobody

Hello all. i have a ATPRO International & it is starting to false allot. i can lay it down on the ground & it will give a reading from 1 end of the scale to the other every 1 or 2 seconds asthough you are swinging it. makes it near impossible to use. curious if any one else No's what night be going on or had a similar problem. maybe the stock coils are shit ? thx.

A lot of my detectors will sometimes false when setting them on the ground. If I turn down the sensitivity, the falsing stops. I usually don't worry about it, as long as it performs well when using it to search for targets.

I had a 5x8 coil that started going crazy, I put the stock coil on and it was fine, returned the small coil to Garrett for repair, turns out it was cracked. If you don't have another coil to try I suggest you take it to your local dealer and try another coil, if your coil is bad contact Garrett and request an RMA. They will take care of you. Good luck, let us know what the issue was.

Yupper...try another coil first if possible.

Especially if you banged it, dropped it, or water hunt.

If that doesn't work....a trip to Garrett for a tune up/inspection goes a long way sometimes.
