HELP WITH A TEST GARDEN

Hello all!! The AT Pro is a Great machine!! Land and Water it don't matter!!

Gonna post here n hope it doesn't take from the other excellent posts!!

I just planted a "Coin Garden" in the yard. I am in Florida and have some pretty good soil here. I planted some coins but think they may be too deep as the machine barely gives a signal only on one directional swing. No target IDs at all??? Very interesting. Maybe because it is so fresh in the ground as not to make a "Halo" yet. I also placed them completely horizontal and on a piece? of plastic bucket at the depths of 6 inches down to about 12 inches. The deepest target is a liberty walking half and it makes no sounds at all. I am in Pro Zero with Zero Discrim. Any thoughts on this procedure or a better way to make my garden "Sing"? My shallowest target is a dime between 2 nails at 6 inches and it sings but no IDS.

Forgot to mention I am running the 5 X 8 coil. I haven't tried the stock coil yet. I really only hunt with the 5 x 8 anyway!

Thanks and have a Great weekend.

Thank you!! That's what I figured too!! But really like the smaller coil. Where I hunt there is a LOT of trash around houses and parks.

Sensitivity at Max? Try increasing your swing speed.

On the other hand, they are freshly buried and they won't read well for at least a couple of years. That's been my experience. The old coins and jewelry you dig up have been in the ground often times for 50+ years and have developed a nice halo.

I ran into this with a jar of pennies I buried. The GTI-2500 would pick them up, but not the At/Pro. I need to go to my spot and check it out with the At/Pro because it's been long enough it should pick it up. I buried the jar upside down hoping it would pick up on the pennies instead of the metal canning lid. Good project when I get home today.

I am very curious ... please be very grateful if we report.
