Help with a Cobra 2

I have a Kellyco Cobra 2 made by Discovery. Its the one with the gold alluminum box. I haven't used it for a long time (5 years) I can't remember what the 2 modified knobs are on the top.
The guy I bought it from modified it, I've seen pictures of other Cobra 2's and they had this same modification but I can't remember what the guy told me they were for.
The reason I'm asking is I'm going to sell it and I gotta know what to say it is.

Ok we have a copy the original manual I can send you for that detector. But we have no idea what the former owner modified. Can you take a picture and post it and I'll see if my experts can help!
