Help with a bullet

Do any of you guys know what kind of bullet this is. It's a strange looking 2 ringer, appears to be .58 cal. Found along with some gardners and asst. 3 ringers. :confused:

Hi, Thats a nice bullet, it appears to be a .50cal Confederate Breech loading Carbine Bullet, most lkely Macon Arsenal made, cool find worth about 30.00-45.00

Thanks a ton Jimmy. That info is a little bit more I can add to my knowledge. I think I'll start paying more attention to all the bullets I've been diggin'. I've never sold any relics, but if I could find 5 or 10 more thousand of those bullets I believe my hind end would retire. As long as grand kids don't keep coming along. :rofl::thumbup:
 
Lol I hear ya on the Grand Kids, Keep digging those bullets they indeed do add up, I sold several hundred last year and that alone covered all my expenses and then some! I am not a collector but I get the thrill of finding and then identifing things and that's what drives me, I truly Love Detecting !!
