Hello all, thinking about buying me another metal detector, been reading alot about the Tesoro's and there great warranty. So, money is no object, i want one that will do great on coins and relics! Any advice would be highly appreciated!! Thanks a bunch!!!! So come on people, tell me what you think, which one is the best of the Tesoro line for coin and relic hunting and dont hold nothing back!!!!!

I don't hunt coins.

I hunt jewelry and relics/artifacts.

All the Tesoros I've used are great at finding coins. The quality of your headphones make a difference there. The analog
characteristics of Tesoro responses and quick recovery with fast response are some of the reasons a lot of Tesoro users are
loyal to their machines.

For relic hunting the Tejon is on my wish list. I believe them, when they say, "it's one of the best relic hunting machines".

HH,

i have the tejon and the vaquero, the tejon has the edge over the vaquero except in one area. if your ground is highly mineralized then i would go with the vaquero. the tejon is a super sensitive detector and you cant turn it down like you can the vaquero. but if your ground is moderate to low mineralization then i would go with the tejon.

For relics the Tejon can't be beat in the Tesoro line.

silver u max!..great detector in the trash!..well built,and cheap!

(h.h!)

If you don't mind my "biased" opinion, get a Tesoro Silver uMax. I think it will out-perform the higher-end machines. I say this with the utmost confidence!!!!

This machine has the necessary ground balance and you'll be getting some really decent depth in good to moderate ground.
The fixed ground balance machines (Silver uMax, Cibola) lose depth in moderate to bad ground. If you buy new the Silver uMax wouldn't be
bad to learn on and then sell it and upgrade to a Tejon (if you're new to detecting this would probably be the best plan).
