Help! What Is This?

The body looks like brass or bronze with some iron pins or rivets. I was relic hunting in a wheat field earlier this spring, near an old farm house that's falling down.
Planning to go back once the wheat stubble is mowed down. Thought I would ask the experts what it might be.
