HELP, unidentified etched copper disk:confused:

I found this 1 inch diameter disk along an easement. It is real thin. It looks like it had something on the back to attach it. I posted a picture of it in two positions. Any one have any idea what it is?

Looks like a button or broach and may actually be brass. Such things were common years ago, gold not being as "popular" or sold on cable jewelry channels as it is now. I have found brass wedding rings and kids rings and plenty of copper buttons. I have a large St Christopher broach of brass, that I belive was some sort of lapel ornament.

Looks like something that Area 51 or the Bermuda Triangle could help you with. Looks out of this world for sure....eehehe...
