well just look around and on windows go to
Start
then Settings
then Control panel
dont know the version of windows your using but look there for sound devices and go from there

What kind of PC? If it is a brand name...most likely has audio on the motherboard itself and that has gone bad. Easy fix by just sliding in a sound card into one of the open PCI slots and hooking up to it. Check cl for one. Few bucks. Good luck!
