HELP------Question on the MXT battery

reconj

Member
Ok --need some help on this one----I will be going up to Ganes Creek Alaska for two weeks to hunt for GOLD, This time of the year they have some long days, I plan on running my MXT for 10 hours each day ( I hope ) so the Big question is ----How many batteries do I need to take ??????????? No K-Mart close-----Thanks Jack

Take a Costco brand box of batteries and you'll have plenty to share with others.

Unless you like to hold the mxt over a target with the pinpoint mode on and wear no
earphones, the MXT is a miser with battery juice.

PS: You can easily run on the same batteries until they start to read around 9 Volts, then
it is time to think about changing the batteries.

Ok--I'll get a full box, can always use them later, you fly into the place, and the next store is 50 miles over a mtn. by plane. Thanks agin--Jack

Is make sure they are good quality batteries, may cost a little more, but cheap when you look at the fact the cheaper ones can be bad and where will you find some when you are out that far. Another thing is they can leak in the detector which I have seen happen a few times with the cheaper ones. Don't let bad batteries ruin a good trip, have good quality and plenty of them. It is called cheap insurance.
