Help Please

Hello everyone,

I have a friend who has a Garrett 1500, he just got a 4.5 coil for christmas. My question is. He said it would still show depth, it would not show what it was or about what it is. I guess I'am asking. When you change a coil, will it change the reads on your detector. We thank you for any help

The only thing different is the smaller coil will not image. Everything else is the same as with the stock coil.
