Help Please with saving a geo hunt

Hi All

I have read and reread the xchange manual. But I just cant get my head around how to save a geo hunt. Yes Im 68 years old. I tried everything in the manual, but I just cant save one. Guess I am a bit thick. Using the 3030 I know how to save way points, find points, and do a geo trail incorporating those points. The question has probably been asked before.
Can some kind soul just run me through it. Step by step, click by click. I would be most appreciative and thankfull. Please.

I FOUND SOMETHING THAT MAY HELP YOU A LITTLE ( MINELAB CTX3030 METAL DETECTOR XCHANGE 2 SETUP) ON YOUTUBE
IT HELP ME A LITTLE AND IAM 60 YEARS OLD WITH LITTLE EXP. WITH COMPUTERS GIVE IT A TRY!!!!!!!!!!

MINELABBOB

-Bring up xChange2 (referred to as x2 from here on in this post), login, and plug in your CTX.
-Turn on CTX
-wait on x2 to load the CTX data(watch the upper left in the red where it says ALL...under COLLECTIONS which is under the Minelab logo)
-when the CTX data has loaded, CTX will appear above ALL
-click on CTX and wait a couple of seconds for it to load
-you should now should see the Geohunt (GH) and Findpoint (FP) data in addition to the programs that are in your CTX

to move things, you need to create a place to move them to so you will have to create a folder.
-to the right of the COLLECTIONS is a + sign. click on it. a window will appear. give your folder a name here and choose one of the icons and a color for your new folder. finish creating your folder by clicking SAVE NEW. you have now created a destination folder for your data.

-while in the CTX collection, click on all the GH and FP boxes, one at a time (theres other ways to do this, but this is simplest). they will turn blue as you click on them and that is what you want.
-now hold your cursor over one of the blue boxes and right mouse click on it, holding it down.
-as you hold down, move your cursor over to the new folder you created. then release the mouse button. your data should have copied into the folder. if it successfully did, you may now delete the data from the CTX. this will give you more room to store future GHs and FPs. to delete from the CTX, again right click on the blue boxes and hold it down. move your cursor to the trash and release. it will ask you if you REALLY want to do that. if your data is in a folder, you do so click yes.

important: for the CTX to fully finish this operation, you must disconnect the wire from either your computer or your CTX. turning off your CTX will NOT update what you just did so always unhook the cord and allow the CTX to go into hunt mode before powering off.

I hope I didn't screw something up. if I did, folks, please correct it. I'm not the best typist and the autospell tends to wreck havoc with my posts sometime.

Trev, I'd be happy to walk thru this with you sometime we are both awake step by step via PMs if need be.

Thank you Kin and Bob. Using Kins easy instructions and the utube stuff Bob put me onto. Well it was simple, and have now achieved it. The Xchange on line forum is to me difficult to comprehend, written by boffins and not users. Same with the CTX3030 video's on the Minelab Site. Its the boffins again. They push so many buttons on the control screen in like three seconds. And I struggle to keep up, Im still on button one, whilst their fingers darts all over the place. So thank you fella's. I really appreciated your help.

All the best.

Glad to help, Trev. I think youre gonna love all that xChange2 can do. I am a datahound and love looking for patterns in my finds.

Hi Again Kin

At last I am no longer scared of the CTX3030. Thanks to you and Bob. I stumbled across this site yesterday. This guy just explains it so simlply. Talks slowly and outlines every step. One has to go through to about half way in his video before you get to the good stuff. And like you say Kin blue it up. Thank you for opening up the key to Pandora;s box and the Holly grail.. Now me and my ctx3030 can at last communicate and understand each other. And at last I have started playing around with all the other options and now it is a whole new world that is opened up to me. I was scared of the 3030, it was beyond me. Wahoo no more. Thank you again my friends.

There are no adverts on it, other than a minelab beep beep beep.

Its an old vid, and we don't need to down load the new version of xchange2. But this man just does the instructions so well
