I just bought a Golden Sabre II in great shape and a Vaquero just back from fisher. I have not had a detector for about 1 1/2 yrs.
The Golden saber has a notch system.
I don't even have it yet.
any place where I can get info as far as how to use the saber and adjust the notch?or vaquero settings.
The vaquero comes with two coils-one is 5".
thanks

thanks I saw them but was just wondering if there were any tips out there. There is a 12" coil on this golden saber, can I use most tesoro coils?
thanks

you'll love the notch once you get it figured. Where and how you set it will depend on what you intend to hunt or you don't have to use it at all. You can set it to reject or accept within the notch. Wonderful feature...the notch!!!!!!

OK thanks-I guess I will have to wait until I get it and try it out.
thanks again.

Not pickin at ya but I know you meant to say just back from :tesoro: not :fisher: :detecting: either way you have two very good detectors headed your way

hard to explain especially since you made no mention as to what kind of hunting you do? Lets assume you hunt public and are a coin shooter. You can use the notch to reject most pulltabs but nickels and some gold also falls in the pulltab/nickel range so you'll lose most nickels/gold if you run the notch in the pulltab range. On the other hand....accepting within that same range will nock out most high conductors and the lowest conductors. It's just a "window" that can be set anywhere within the detectors full range.......
