Help on ability to down size photos

nad

New member
The HP photo section in my computer was damaged and deleted..I don't know how to make my photos small enough to be able to post them on the Find's Forum. If anyone can help please do, thank you very much , cordially NAD

If you know how to open and save a .zip file there's a small program at the link below, Image Enhance, that has an easy resize feature under the "Deform" menu. It also lets you crop and optimize photos. It works well and it's freeware so it doesn't cost anything:).

nad,i have the same issue, have a camera that uses j-peg as format and all the pictures are above 1mb,but you can only post pictures on the forum at 420kb,here is what i've come up with so far.
download digital photo tools(softpedia)has a good selection of freebies,or join a photo club or service such as(photo bucket) and post pictures from there, there are a couple other services but i forgot their names,as of yet i'm not sure i want to do either one.
i think i'll watch your post to see if i can learn more!

the way i do it without downloading anything extra is to open the picture with paint select image on the tool bar and then select stretch/skew then decrese the size to 50% then save.

Hay Nad.

I use Photo Bucket. It let's me download photos and change them

as they are loaded.

There is a free Microsoft program called Image Resizer.

Just type in Microsoft Image Resizer in Googel and it comes up.

Image Resizer is easy. It works in Windows Explorer when you

right click on photo. One more click and it's done.

These work really well! If it is just one picture I would open it in paint like Montanagold said and use the stretch scew option (shink it of course) I have also copy and pasted it into word and did the same thing.

For users of Microsoft Office

Go to "My Pictures"

Right Click on selected picture and select "Open With"

Select Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Select "Edit Picture"

Select "Compress Picture"

Select "Web Pages"

Another method is to change the setting on the camera. Most digital cameras have a 64K option in the settings.
