slapshot

I have been keeping an eye on this forum since moving to Cape Cod. I have used an MXT on the beaches with pretty good success, but I now need something that will handle wet sand better.
I am thinking of getting the Minelab Quatro. Can anyone tell me if this is a good choice? I do not go into the water, but do hunt at low tide in wet sand.

Thanks in advance and Happy Hunting

Let me say this slapshot I was down in the wet sand yesterday and a black lab came up from behind me running full force and got between me and my detector and knocked my Excal.out of my hand in the water it went.I never seen the dog coming. If it had been a quatro it would be history.

DFX with a Bigfoot coil... the best beach machine I have used and still use.

The DFX dual freq for salt rejection coupled with the DD (noise cancelation)design of the Bigfoot PLUS that 18" swath of the Bigfoot coil covers beach real estate real quick down to about 9 inches for a quarter.
