iam new to water dectecting wondering if i should buy a minelab excaliber or a tesoro tiger shark, garrett infinium i use a minelab ex2 now.will be mainly wading in fresh water

Lots of water hunters around here.

If you are using a ML Ex II, you might want to stick with what you know and get an Excaliber. Just be careful about the coil cable and the knobs.

A Tigershark will get you all the small fine gold that most folks miss, like earrings, earring backs, chains, etc.

Personally, I use a CZ-20.

I'm from Jackson. I don't really have ready access to Great Lake beaches right now, so I have to content myself with the local swimming areas in county parks.
