Help needed with Sovereign

Sovereign keeps making intermittent sound like "zzzzz" real fast and stops quick, even when setting detector down to dig target,
is there something wrong with detector?

When noise cancel switch is flipped same sound as intermittent sound when searching

Sounds like low battery warning ...does it like once or twice every minute right ? give ita full charge and retry.

Ok thanks, I will try this today. I am really hoping this is the problem, I have other detectors the Sovereign is the best detector I have used
I am going over areas hunted by others I am surprised the coins I am finding

I agree sounds like the low battery alert.

Charge the battery or slip in the AA batteries pack with known good AA batteries and test..

Thanks for the help guys, I recharged the batteries and will try tonight
The squeal really made me think something was wrong with detector, it sounds like
someone choking a squirrel
