I am going to Nags Head, N.C and Virginia Beach next week. I love my explorer for land use but can't seem to get it stable the 1 time I used it on a salt beach. I am used to my sovereign which is smooth as a baby's bottom once you adjust the sensitivity. Would appreciate help,
Jerry

Hi Jerry, we have some high mineralized beaches
here in Cal. & I run mine in iron mask with mask
set about 12-14 using smart screen for crosshair's
find a clear spot in all metal away from all metal
object's, & press noise cancel & let it pick the
quietest channel.
I start with sen. about 17 as I'm swinging &
hunting, I raise sen. 1 notch about every 5 or 6
swing's until detector become's unstable then back
it off a notch.
Or you can just run auto from that point, will
loose several inches but it's still good depth.
Good luck & I hope this might be effective for
you, HH...jim
