Help!!! My GTP 1350 is sick!!!!

Got my GTP from the store room, haven't used it in 5 months and I left the batteries in it.

I pushed the ON button, didn't turn on. So I guess batteries are dead. I have some rechargeables, charged them up. The sec. I put on the battery cap, it turned on.

It got stuck to where everything is lit up! Tried to reset it by pressing the ON button till it resets, that didn't work.

It's a hit and miss thing. It would turn on and off normally, the the thing would just die on me. I would get nothing from pushing the ON button, I have to take the batteries off.

Another observation is when I release the button from pinpoint mode, it would get stuck again to where everything is lit up and it keeps on beeping!

Any ideas on what happened here?!

As much as possible I don't want to send it in since I'm out of the country right now.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Mary might just have a few more tricks up her sleeve. I have sent in some of my equipment before. It doesn't take long for repairs. Garrett has great customer service. :)

does your GTP1350 turns on automatically after putting on the second battery pack?

Mine does that, if this is not normal then I have to write it down as one of the problems.

Thanks John!

It sounds like you need to have it serviced. Of course, looking on the bright side.....if you have cold weather in your neck of the woods, this is the best time of year to send it in, and it will come back weller then well. :)
