Help me make up my mind

I've narrowed my choices to a few detectors that i think i will be satisfied with, but would appreciate all of your comments regarding the following machines: X-Terra 70, sovereign GT, 6000xl Pro, and the XLT.
I currently have a Coinstrike (second one), and a Land Star i just picked up for $40.00 bucks at a pawn shop,(good surface machine, but not the depth i want). I have owned a DFX(two of them), and an MXT. I'm partial to Whites, but am not afraid to try other brands, which I've done these past 7 yrs.
I'm strictly a coin shooter looking for the older coins at old home sites and abandoned gathering places. My priorities are depth and ability to run smoothly in iron without falsing. I'm leaning towards the X-Terra 70 at this point, but like i said earlier, i do like whites (except for the weight of the machines).
I'm in NW Indiana and believe the soil here is moderately mineralized. Throw those opinions out to me please.
Thanks

I have Whites also but that XTerra70 looks good doesnt it. But, Im holding back on the reins, gonna wait a few more months and see what hits market. I even like the looks of the Fisher F70.
Woops, didnt help ya any did I. If ya get the XT70 please drop me a message after youve used it a bit giving me a run down.
HH,
John

I think you should get your hands on a xt50 or 70 to test drive. I've had two M6's, IDX and Xlt to name a few of the Whites detectors I used to own. The xterra 70 is a full pound lighter and 5 pounds better. Since your not going to use your detector for nugget hunting or on the salt beaches the Xt50 will do just fine. But the 70 has some nice features over the 50 though.

Thanks to the both of you. My brother has the x-50, but if i go minelab route, it will be the x-70, because of the added features. I read where people are getting 5 to 9 inches on dimes and etc. My MXT struggled to get 6 to 8 inches (very questionable signals). If the X-70 can give a good signal at 7 or 8 inches, i'd be happy.

In moderate soil the Ace 250 will pick up a dime at 8 inches and properly ID them with the stock coil. It will find them at 6 inches with the 4.5 inch sniper. Don't under estimate the power of the 250. I have two 250's and one xterra 70. I won't be getting rid of either.

I don't know about some of your choices but the XL-Pro is the quietest detector I have owned while hunting in iron trash so your statement about without falsing would apply well to the XL-Pro. Maybe some current XL-Pro users could chime in on this with their opinion....

the 6000 xl-pro if you can find one is the tool for you!
