Ok so I found this old copper token that is the size of a penny
It is barely legible and will not photo well
It has "ORANGE" on the left side and "WARRANTY" on the right side. 3 decorative diamonds on top and 3 on the bottom.
It also has a circle in the center with a large "P" in it.

Any Guesses?

My first guess without a picture is it sounds like a flat button.

ya know what it think your on to something

It would explain why it is blank on other side (was wondering about that)
I bet what I thought was the front of a token is the back of a button.

will post a pic tomorrow

OK After HuntinDog woke me from my brainfart. I did a little research and it is the button backmark with the front of the button missing.

Actually says "WARRANTED ORANGE"

Still haven't found what the front used to look like.

It's common for the front to be smooth and blank. It was gilted, hense the orange which referrs to the quality of gilt.
Typical quality marks are "Extra
Rich," "Rich Gold Color (or
"Colour"), "Treble Gilt," "Best
Orange Gilt," or any combina-
tion of those words ("Extra Or-
ange Gilt," for example).

THIS site explains a bit more about quality marks such as 'orange'.
