Help Me! Help Me! look what i found

Went dectecting today;found a thimble wish i could post a picture but i can't at this time
it has designs at the bottom and there is a L engraved in it inside the thimble in the top it says sterling
also it has three letters first letter is m second letter maybe a k i cant make it out real good third letter
is o the second letter is larger than the first and third i will post picture when i can

Our friend Monte was hunting some family land with us and he found a thimble that sounds similar to what you found. It's sterling with the engraving MKD on this inside. Here's a little info on the one he found:

This is what he found. The lower band appears to be gold plated.

around 1880 - 1900. Too bad you didn't find it in the bottle. The piece at the bottom had a round piece of leather on it and the carbon dioxide kept it pushed to the top. To open you pushed the metal top down and it went pop. Hence the name soda pop. This is what I learned a long time ago. I love finding the bottles here underwater. Some are worth a mint!
