Help Me Date a CTX Find!

I found this Barber quarter a few days ago at a park. I discussed finds in this recent thread...

http://www.findmall.com/read.php?86,1830216

I have been looking at this coin under magnification and different light sources for a while. I think it might be an 1897 but cannot entirely exclude 1907. The first pic is the coin. Then I have included some crops of the date area with a fancy macro lens. The first crop is direct lighting the second one is tangential lighting.

Can any of you coin experts tell if I have a 19th century coin or a 20th century? I realize the question is academic since coin is so worn it is essentially destroyed but I would like to know if possible...

Thanks! (I hope not too OT) LOL!

1897. Congrats

1897

Thanks guys!

That is what I though too after I saw the macro photos. Could not tell anything with my naked eye and jeweler's loupe was ironically too much magnification. So its an 1897 O. That is a semi-key date. Too bad she has seen better days... LOL!

Thanks again for the help!
