Hello everyone! I am new to metal detecting. I started looking in my backyard for practice and I found this. It is copper but I am not sure exactly what it is. Thought maybe you guys could help me out. Thanks! :spin:
 
Hummmm .... looks to me like part of a broach ... silver or gold plated copper at one time.

Okay...thanks! I did start cleaning it already. I know you should never clean coins. However, does the no cleaning rule apply to something like this as well?
