Back fiften years ago when i was a whites user i was detecting my back yard, I dug every signal it that yard well about 9 inches down i pulled this octagon shape with president Lincolns bust on the front of it I kept it for years maybe you might know what it is and how old it might be its made of brass.
 
What are the dimensions? I saw some Lincoln medallions used on Lincoln Memorial Highway Markers, but those are 3-4 inches in diameter. Can't tell whether this is coin sized or several inches across.

Im sorry i should have gave dimensinos. It is 3 inches wide x 2 3/4 high.
