Found this at an old unused beach..Just cant figure out what was attached at the handle end, It doesn't appear to be broken
Thanks for looking..Ron L

They made toy water pistols that looked like that.It had a rubber bulb you filled with water and put it at the rear.you squeezed the bulb and the water came out the barrel.

I think you might be right!! At first I didnt see any holes but I used my dremel with a tiny file and sure enough there are two holes at either end. I stuck a straightened paper clip through it and cleaned out the sand.
Thanks .. I would never have thought of that

It is in good shape considering that all of the old silver and copper coins that Im finding are very badly corroded. The dimes and pennies are as thin as razor blades and come out of the sand with a thick black crust covering them and date back to the early teens, 20s &30s. And there is rust everywhere in the sand.
This piece is quite heavy..not sure what its made of..

Im pretty sure its made out of Iron. Its pretty heavy. There wasnt any rust on it though. It has a coating on it.
Any idea where I can find some info?
Later..Ron L

Been a long time but if I remember correctly the one I got was a Dick Tracy water pistol. It looked almost exactly like that. The photo is the way it looked with the bulb on it.

Interesting..Is that yours? I wish I could remember exactly where I dug it. Maybe the bulb is still there.
