Help identify medal

Sorry for the crappy photo I need a new camera

It is a 5 piece medal with quotes on both sides, I'll try to explain it as best as I can considering the photo quality is rough.

The top piece has a America flag with 12 stars and next to it is the saying "Our Flag"
The 2nd piece down has a picture of a Angel and the quote "Here's to love, the only fire against which there is no insurance"
3rd piece down is a picture of a man in a chair holding a glass with the quote "The bubble winked at me and said, I'll miss you brother when you are dead"
4th piece has a image of what appears to be a mug
The last circle piece I can't make out the picture but the quote says "Better smoke here than hereafter"

On the reverse from top to bottom

Top piece says "Here's to our wives and sweethearts, may they never meet"
next piece has a image but can't make it out, the quote is "Wine and women,mirth,and laughter sermons and soda the day after"
next piece has what appears to be a women standing with the quote "Good form but not formality"
next is the quote "The good die young, here's to your ripe old age"
last piece is an image of a man in a chair with a gun leaning against it with the quote "Here's is your goot healdth und your families goot healdth und may you all live long und brosber" - the words are misspelled on this quote but that is how they put it on this medal.

One of the quotes was made by Lord Byron and another from Washington Erving from my searches on the web.

I found this about 8-10" down with my AT PRO next to a river, within 8 feet I also found 2 old pocket watches which are in bad shape. I have no clue to what this medal is, I don't believe it would be military. Help me out here I'm dying to know what this is from.

So everything we see there is metal. That thing must have some weight to it.

With out a better pic,, you will need to get lucky and someone sees this that has one.(or maybe one that is close )

My camera is acting funny and this is the best picture of the bunch. The whole thing is metal I'm guessing brass, it has a little heft to it even though it isn't to thick, about the thickness of a quarter. The only 2 quotes I could find came from Lord Byron and Washington Irving, the others I haven't had to much luck on. Some of the quotes were used by Oliver Herford, John Bunny, HP Lovecraft although I'm not sure if they are the original origins of the quotes. Lord Byron was born in 1788 and died in 1824, Washington Erving 1783-1859, while that time line might not help much it may give some clues to the date of this medal. I'm really stumped on this one, I checked for hours with no luck at all.

I would love to clean it in hopes of getting more of the detail showing but I'm not sure if that is a good idea or not. Even if it is a good idea I'm not sure which way to go about cleaning it, any suggestions?

This is what I do. Use a thin wire brass brush. They are sold at hardware stores and look allot like a tooth brush with brass bristles though.

For Most heavier metals this is a great way to clean them. Not everything can be cleaned this way ,,so be careful and try it pushing lightly and slow at first. You will see if it doing a good job or harming it. Sometimes this method with take the first layer completely off,,very rare,,, most of the time it will not do that.
If it were me I would not hesitate to clean it this way.
