Found this today along with a few common USA coins at a soccer/ baseball complex in Northern California. I can't find any similar looking at Asian coins. Any one recognize it?? I can't read the words because they are just worn off enough to make then unrecognizable. Just a touch bigger than a US nickle and much heavier. Thanks in advance

Looks like Thai baht.

Wow that was fast. I don't see the exact one yet in the pictures but that is defiantly the same guy and same elephants. I'll do some more research. Thanks a bunch!!

With your info I found out this about the coin. It is a exact match. Here is the informaiton. Now to find out its value

The 10-Baht coin, Kanchanapisek version

The Kanchanapisek coin was issued to commemorate the king's 50th anniversary on the throne and is extremely popular and is probably even more common than the standard 10-Baht issued coin.

Other commerative 10-Baht coins include the 40th anniversary of the Thai Commerce Department issued in 2000; the International Rice Award given to His Majesty the King issued in 1998; the 100th anniversary of the Land Department issued in 2001

At today's conversion Thai Bhat to US dollar this baby is worth 33 cents US. The way things are going it ought to be worth $200 American in no time given the devaluation of our dollar. But as it stands this is the most valuable coin I have found to date.:clapping:

Congratulations on the find! Often it's the odd and unusual that are the most interesting. Imagining how it got there?
