:help: I need some serious MD storage help! :help:

Situation:
Shelle wants the spare room back for guests. But I will still need to store our MD equipment in there. Right now everything in spread out all over the place. The main thing is to get the bulky things up off the floor.

Mission:
Find something to 1) store the scoops, diggers, pouches, headphones, pinpointers, etc. in a compact, yet easy access area and 2) figure out how to hang 3 light weight Metal Detectors (DFX, MXT & a BH) up off the floor.

Yesterday, I got an old multiple PE verticle locker (5 sm lockers shown above) in pretty good shape for just $2, so that will take care of Mission 1; but now I still need to hang the 3 detectors to acccomplish Mission 2. How do I do that?!!

Ideally, I'd like to get some sort of padded hook (sorta shaped sorta like a large tuning fork) that I could put into the dry wall to simply hang them. But I'm not sure if there is a way to do that or even if there is even such a hook that would support the detector.

Anybody have other ideas? I am in NO way a carpenter or even very mechanically adept. A free-stand on the floor is NOT an option! Shelle wants the floor space.

In the block on the upper left you see a find it box. Type in organizer, hooks, storage, etc ... and see what you can find.

#257532 is a kit with storage hooks.

John is at the store, I'll call him and ask that he post some other items that we stock that may work for you. You'll be able to order them from a local Do it Best dealer or on-line.

Another option may be to move the couch, clothes washer, and auto parts off the front porch!

Hey Art, I use a hook you can get at most home stores, like Ace, or Lowe's ect. that is rubber coated and about 3.5in deep with a 2.25in throat depth. It holds my XLPRO vertically as I hang it from the coil. It's wide enough for any coil and shaft I have seen, screws right into the wall with a plastic anchor in drywall or straight into a stud( super strong ) in that aplication. Cost aprox $3. for a pack of 3. Good luck with the project. Fred/in Fla.
