HELP.....HOW TO OPEN ALKALINE BATTERY POD

Roman44

New member
I JUST GOT MY NEW ALKALINE BATTERY POD AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO OPEN IT. IT HAS TWO SMALL HOLES ON OPPOSITE SIDES, AND I CAN SEE TWO SCREWS. BUT THERE IS NO GROOVE THAT A SCREW DRIVER WILL FIT, LIKE A STANDARD OR A PHILLIPS. IT LOOKS AS IF THERE ARE TWO METAL CAPS THAT ARE COUNTER SUNK. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO OPEN IT, AND DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE IT. PLEASE HELP.

IT IS A EXCALIBUR ALK BATT POD. I BOUGHT IT FROM TELESCOPES.COM. BIG MISTAKE, THEY SAID IT WAS IN STOCK, AFTER 6 WEEKS IT ARRIVED, BUT THEY FORGOT THE ALLEN WENCH. THAT WAS MY PROBLEM. THANK YOU.

The Excalibur like the Sovereign need 12 volts to run so you would need 10 of the cells for it to work and it only will hold 8 of them. The Minelab rechargeable have 10 cells in them.

do not screw the set screws below the edge of the holes, keep them flush and it should never leak.
