just bought a used nice looking explorer ll ,never had an explorer, but do have a safari.i am in texas and have sandy soil plus the beach is just 28 miles to the gulf of mexico, lots of beach area.need some good settings for the sandy soil and beach area please.i guess the beach setting falls in the all metal hunting?the explorer is still on the way,has the 8" coil plus the 10" coil.i understand that the safari coils can be used on the explorer ll ?i have the 11'' m/l coil,12x10 sef.coil,4.5 x 7" d.d.coil by excellerator--this are the safari's coils.would appreciate any feedback please.

Use original coil and try to use less discrimination, dont use to high manual sensitivity, my suggestion till 22 and lower in extreme iron. Safari and explorers works the same and use the same coils, but safari miss good things what explorer has. dont forget keep coil low.
