Help finding scoop

bluesky

New member
Hunting on the beach in mostly dry sand....From what I've read on here I've decided on a long handle stainless steel scoop. Does any of them have a foot pad to help push into the wet sand?
Any tips on where to buy a good brand? How long should the handle be? 24inch's? Any other features i should look for on one? Thanks....

It's stainless steel and you can see all the specifics at http://beachgold.net/forsale

I've seen where a wire mesh scoop is advised for dry sand, and punched holes in stainless or aluminum for in the wet sand.

A long handle would save lots of bending over! Some have two piece handles for short, or long.
You get what you pay for, like anything else!

Be careful as some of the en-expensive ($50 or so) long handed sand scoops are (NON-KICK ) type scoops and will brake very easy if you do use them as Kick type scoops.

The 100% stainless steal (Kick versions) are very well made and are MiG welded and cost Over $100

I learned my lesson on this one
