Help finding GOLD coin

One of my friends and his father bottle dug an old ghost town years ago. His father saw a small gold coin go through the sifter and could never find it. He discribed the area to me, I know the coin is in a 15 sq. ft. area. The soil is no more than 15 in. deep. The problem is the soil is full of small rusted iron pieces. Any ideas of how to set up to find this gold coin. thanks
 
I would attack this small patch of ground repeatedly in ironmask -6, until getting anything in the nickel,foil,ringtab zone,It may be hard to pinpoint but you can find it...cs
 
Since it went through a screen, I would assume its a one dollar or smaller coin...this pattern should find it, without hearing too much else except tin foil if any thereg
