Help: F75 Going to the Outer Banks!

BTaylor

New member
I am going on vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and I would like any and all suggestions on how to setup the F75 for dry and wet sand detecting. I only go to the beach once a year, so I am not experienced with using the F75 at the beach. I have been detecting with the F75 for about four months. I also own a T2 that I used at the beach in dry sand last year with good results.

Thanks, Bill

I found on my beaches here that in wet sand I had to just back off sensitivity some & stay away from the souped up JE mode in wet sands....JE is great for dry sand gold huntin'....
I had some success in wet sands in DE & BC modes.....give those a try & like I said 50-60 sens will still get you plenty of depth.....
good luck,
Bill

I'm planning to take the F-75 and F4 and check out how they handle things. I'm willing to bet the F-75 will clobber the small "micro" jewelry in the dry sand.... All the stuff passed over by the multi frequency machines. The hardest part will probably be finding the little stuff that falls through the scoop holes! Should be fun!

Bill,

Thanks, for the information. I don't know if I will find anything, but I am going to give it a good try. Thanks again!

Bill T.
