Help Explorer XS Beach Settings needed

BASSFAN07

New member
Hey Guys,
New to the whole beach deal and was wondering if any of you would be willing to share your successful beach setting with me for the Explorer XS. Figure I will be searching in the wet sand and the dry. Any info. advice would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, you will want to run no discrimination and dig everything. Because the gold is in the same range as most of your aluminum trash. So to run any disc is sure death. And if you wanted to run Iron Mask that would be fine but you might miss out on some stainless steel watches and stuff and not to mention losing your threshold all the time.

So I would run IM-16, Deep ON, Fast OFF, Gain around 6 and sens in manual at maybe 20-ish, depending on your beach and how stable your XS is in the wet sand there. I can run my Explorer SE at 22 in the wet with my 12.5" coil (I HAVE, but I don't really hunt with my SE on the beach, I use an Excalibur)but if you go in the shallow water you will probably have to back it down.

The gold jewelry will be in the digital range of single digits up to maybe as high as the low 20's or so. Best bet is to test your machine with all the gold rings you can get your hands on and see what you're looking for.
