Help!! Decipher Minelab Serial #

Does anyone know how to decipher the serial # on the Sovereign GT? To determine it's age? I know already...contact minelab (done that no less than six times, and sent emails, still waiting, and waiting and waiting...)

Thats odd...I recently contacted them on the phone about an explorer se to see if any warranty remained and after telling them the setial number I waited on the line and had my answer in a few minutes...
I would suspect your gt was either never registered or your giving them the wrong number? I think the gt serial number is in the battery cradle/slot.

I never was able to get a real person, just recordings with prompts to leave messages...I know the serial number I just need to know how to read it (ie the Garrett's I have can be deciphered to let you know the month and year of manufacture).
