Help deaf from noise

Riddle me this batman. Why does the pro make so much noise, I understand the pro mode it's like the SL mode fisher has but when in standard it's like I walking in and out of 7-11 ding ding ding and there's nothing there so I tweaked and tweeked some more still the same. After 3 hrs today I grab my fisher and went over this one spot about 10 ft wide and 40 yds long the pro was throwing a fit over and the F-70 was nice and quiet. The machines GB'd the same . So what's the deal any suggestions or am I just going to go deaf every time I hunt. Thanks Stryker. Ps. It does run quiet in the chip pits though.

Turn the iron audio off if you haven't already. Shoot iron discrimination up to at least 35 if you haven't already. Turn down the sensitivity a little bit. That is about all you can do.

Some detectors you hear the iron rejection. Funny you mention the F-70. I think the F-75 is noisier than the At Pro myself.

Repeatable tones! Ignore the iron chatter.

You don't want to hear iron at all get yourself a GT.

The kind of place you were hunting is perfect for the AT Pro. It kicks some serious butt separating targets from iron. That is by far the best feature of the detector. You need to put in some time with it to get the most out of it.

The little shooter coil will help quiet it down also. It won't hit as much iron on a normal sweep.

Ding, ding, ding... Sounds like you might be in Standard mode?

Try it in Pro mode, there will still be a lot of noise but it will be much fainter and you can tell what the noise is about (iron chatter, foil, mineralisation, discrimination still getting through slightly etc) . Any good targets will still come through loud and clear over the faint scratching and carrying on that Pro mode makes over bad ground. Standard changes these faint noises from iron chatter etc into the "ding" sound which is the same as a good target and thus the thought that it is falsing.

Stryker.
Goodmore has good advise. I run my sensitivity at 3 bars. I am getting coins 4" and more and I have already picked up 435 coins with the AT Pro. I am a shallow coin hunter. I used to run 3 bars from max and sometimes max bars. But only could retrieve a few coins and have my detecting day done. Down on me knees too long digging. I will leave those coins for you. It does take a while to get the hang of it. Just hang in there and try a few different settings. HH ....Z

Thanks guys I will keep trying I was running three bars from max had iron on 38 and went as far as elim fist notch to quiet her down audio was off . It was hard to even hear a repeatable signal with all the jumping . I think it is going to take a few headaches and a while to get used to. Thanks again
